While shooting pictures for our new book on lions (www.africanlions.co.za) at Tswalu Kalahari Game Reserve (http we found some lions patrolling the fence line. We placed our GoPro action camera that we got from www.actioncameras.co.za in their path hoping to catch a glimpse of them as they came past. Little did we know that one lioness would take a liking to the camera and cart it off into the bush! See more of our books and images at http UPDATE: We went looking for the lions again the next day. RUSSIAN UNICORN I’ma blast your brains Talking full-on sex I got a porcupine called “Zazoom” He leaves his scent on people’s graves (Why is Zazoom always around so many graves?) I had a cold one time, then I licked myself Why don’t y’all just float off Now you’re useless I need a woman with a Benz looking to lose it I ate the cookie then I gave it back to Benny There she go Now watch me flow Oh, the night is young Now baby we could shoot a Russian unicorn We’ll probably do it on the couch While my roomie’s out hiking So take if off and bite your tongue And hope my roommate don’t come home A “Hot Pocket” for twenty cents is a steal any day of the week I wanna shave that mustache and then have gelato We’re here for too long We gotta run, ok? And trick those monsters so that they don’t shoot my left nut. I know you ain’t a bitch, cuz girl you kill it I pee-peed in your glove and soon you’ll start to smell it If your body’s a secret girl then you about to spill it When I count to three dismount Oh, the night is young Now baby we could shoot a Russian unicorn We’ll probably do it on the couch While my roomie’s out hiking So take if off and bite your tongue I think that I ought to confess I drink

San Diego

12月 25, 2011 · Posted in World Book · 25 Comments

California travel expert Veronica Hill of www.CaliforniaTravelExpert.com shares her San Diego travel video in this episode of “California Travel Tips.” San Diego California is home to more activities per square mile than perhaps any other place in the world. This laid-back surfer town is packed with hotels, restaurants and attractions, making it a great choice for any budget. And with an average summer temperature of about 70 degrees, you don’t need to do any heavy packing. San Diego is extremely casual, so flip flops and sundresses are standard attire around most of the city. Be sure to plan at least 3 days to explore — but a week is even better. Most San Diego hotels offer great discount packages. Some even include free tickets to San Diego attractions, so don’t be shy about asking. If you only have one day in San Diego city, be sure to visit the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park. It’s home to one of the finest collections of animals in the world, and it’s a great place to brush up on your wildlife photography. At San Diego Wild Animal Park, you can explore the African Savannah by Jeep, go camping on an overnight safari, or rush down Flightline, the longest zip line in the continental United States. There are so many things to do in San Diego, but one of the most popular is Sea World San Diego, a marine animal theme park that’s home to fast-moving water rides, entertaining dolphin shows, and that famous killer whale, Shamu. Don’t miss a chance to take part in their Dolphin

Sam Harris: Can Science Determine Human Values? 7-7

Sam Harris: Can Science Determine Human Values? Partner: Berkeley Arts and Letters Location: First Congregational Church of Berkeley (2345 Channing Way at Dana, Berkeley) Berkeley, CA Event Date: 11.10.10 Speakers: Sam Harris Summary In this highly anticipated, explosive new book, the author of The End of Faith and Letter to a Christian Nation calls for an end to religion’s monopoly on morality and human values. In The Moral Landscape: How Science Can Determine Human Values, Sam Harris tears down the wall between scientific facts and human values to dismantle the most common justification for religious faith — that a moral system cannot be based on science. The End of Faith ignited a worldwide debate about the validity of religion. In its aftermath, Harris discovered that most people, from secular scientists to religious fundamentalists, agree on one point: Science has nothing to say on the subject of human values. Even among religious fundamentalists, the defense one most often hears for belief in God is not that there is compelling evidence that God exists, but that faith in Him provides the only guidance for living a good life. Controversies about human values are controversies about which science has officially had no opinion. Until now. Morality, Harris argues, is actually an undeveloped branch of neuroscience, and answers to questions of human value can be visualized on a “moral landscape” — a space of real and potential outcomes whose peaks and valleys correspond
